We took a fieldtrip to Folk Days in White Springs. It was at the Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park. They learned all about rope making, pottery, blacksmithing, and of course Stephen Foster! He is the man who worte the FL state song "Old Folks at Home". It is situated on the banks of the legendary Suwannee River. The museum features exhibits about Foster's most famous songs and his music can be heard emanating from the park's 97-bell carillon throughout the day. It also has awesome dioramas of alot of his songs. It is really a great place.
