Little friend hanging out

Today was a hanging out at home kinda day for us. Little red bird just liked watching the kids work and even snuggled with our cat Little Bit. We tried to introduce him to our rats but they kept trying to take him away!

Fieldtrip!

Today we went to the Columbia County Library Science Fair workshop. It helps kids with how to do a science fair project. Ideas and where to find books that sort of thing. They did the soda and mentos experiment and got to check out some science fair project boards.

Skyler standing by the door with the Science Fair Flyer!

No trip to the library is complete without checking out more books!!

The soda and mentos experiment in the background.

Skyler loved seeing the science fair display boards! We may have to do a little science fair of our own now!

Fieldtrip!

We took a fieldtrip to Folk Days in White Springs.  It was at the Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park. They learned all about rope making, pottery, blacksmithing, and of course Stephen Foster! He is the man who worte the FL state song "Old Folks at Home". It is situated on the banks of the legendary Suwannee River. The museum features exhibits about Foster's most famous songs and his music can be heard emanating from the park's 97-bell carillon throughout the day. It also has awesome dioramas of alot of his songs. It is really a great place.
