Our Geography Center

I totally got the idea for the fold up center at ideas for the workbox blog and she is wonderful! She has so many great ideas. Ours are a bit different but I loved her so much I tried to follow it a bit. This is Skyler checking it out!
This is a bit of a closeup. I have our passports books for the kids to stamp everytime we study a state. The empty pocket at the bottom is for travelers that visit, so they have a safe place for downtime. The mailbox a sweet idea from the same woman holds postcards. There is a pocket for maps, a compass, state information and geography cards at the bottom right. These are terms that when the kids learn them they will make a notebooking page of it.
The shelves underneath house a globe, books about the states or other geography related items, puzzles etc.

This is the coolest book out there! Well in my opinion anyway. It also comes with a huge wall map that is already laminated for state stickers. This is really great especially the wall map. I hate buying maps only to have to spend the money again to laminate. Not only pre laminated but it has folds in it so you can keep it in your book if you don't have the space! I am sure my geo center will change throughout the year but this is it now at the beginning of travelin the states!
